  • 2018 The community is founded
    The first meetups begin spreading Domain-Driven Design in Taiwan.
  • 2019 Monthly meetups take shape
    Seven sessions across the year — from AWS and LinkedIn practice stories to student teams.
  • 2020 First annual conference
    Taiwan's first large-scale DDD conference (Nov 27–28), plus the Legacy Code study group.
  • 2021 Everything moves online
    Under the pandemic, the "Footprints" conference runs on GatherTown with international speakers.
  • 2022 Quiet outside, busy inside
    The Omicron wave pauses public events — the community spends the year translating the DDD 15th-anniversary anthology into Traditional Chinese.
  • 2023 The conference returns
    "Inspiration" (Sep 16–17) brings back talks and hands-on workshops; the book club resumes.
  • 2024 Widening the lens
    The 4th conference goes System Design & Socio-technical; partner sessions with Confluent and more.
  • 2025 The most active year yet
    Nine events including the cross-city DDD Tour (Tainan, Taichung) and the 5th conference on AI-era practices.

What is DDD Taiwan?

DDD Taiwan (Domain-Driven Design Taiwan) is a community-driven, volunteer-run non-profit founded in 2018. It promotes Domain-Driven Design and broader systems and software design in Taiwan, running meetups, an annual conference, and a book club, and sharing knowledge in a decentralised way.

How can I join and take part?

Joining is free. Follow the Facebook group and page, join the Line community for real-time chat, and register for upcoming events on Accupass. Recordings of past meetups and conference talks are on the DDD Taiwan YouTube channel.

Does it cost anything to participate?

Joining the community and its online channels is free. Most meetups are free or low-cost, while the annual conference is a ticketed event with tickets sold through Accupass or KKTIX.

What events does DDD Taiwan run?

Regular technical meetups, an annual conference held since 2020, and a recurring book club for reading and practicing together. New events are announced on Accupass and the Facebook channels.

What language are the events in?

Events are primarily in Traditional Chinese. The annual conference has regularly featured international speakers giving talks in English.
